If you forget me (poem)

Posted by Johnny Romano On February - 24 - 2010

|Pablo Neruda|

If You Forget Me
I want you to know
one thing.

You know how this is:
if I look
at the crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window,
if I touch
near the fire
the impalpable ash
or the wrinkled body of the log,
everything carries me to you,
as if everything that exists,
aromas, light, metals,
were little boats
that sail
toward those isles of yours that wait for me.

Well, now,
if little by little you stop loving me
I shall stop loving you little by little.

If suddenly
you forget me
do not look for me,
for I shall already have forgotten you.

If you think it long and mad,
the wind of banners
that passes through my life,
and you decide
to leave me at the shore
of the heart where I have roots,
remember
that on that day,
at that hour,
I shall lift my arms
and my roots will set off
to seek another land.

But
if each day,
each hour,
you feel that you are destined for me
with implacable sweetness,
if each day a flower
climbs up to your lips to seek me,
ah my love, ah my own,
in me all that fire is repeated,
in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten,
my love feeds on your love, beloved,
and as long as you live it will be in your arms
without leaving mine.

Viral marketing & social networks like facebook

Posted by Johnny Romano On February - 3 - 2010

“First it was bra color, then celebrity look alikeDoppelganger week and now the Urban Dictionary seems to be the latest craze on Facebook. How these trends get started on Facebook is hard to say but once they start they spread quickly. the term is called “Viral marketing

“The goal of marketers interested in creating successful viral marketing programs is to identify individuals with high Social Networking Potential (SNP) and create Viral Messages that appeal to this segment of the population and have a high probability of being taken by another competitor.”

Gotta love the power of the internet & media. Kinda why I own a Business (web) Development company & a media Company. Except, I use it more to inspire, teach and have some fun in the process.

What is the Urban Dictionary?

Urban Dictionary is a Web-based dictionary of slang words and phrases. The site contains over four million definitions. The definitions are meant to be those of slang or subculture words and phrases not found in standard dictionaries.

How is the Urban Dictionary being used on Facebook?

Facebook members seem to be typing their names into the Urban Dictionary to see what the result is. Expect the unexpected. Don’t expect any answers that are going to be intellectually stimulating. Fun is good…lighten up. “
